true story this was my life for a real long time. i would say up until i really started dealing with my mental health issues and my past (so like 20.) my humor tended towards the ‘sarcastic.’ i appreciate the friends that stuck with me through it and taught me how to be a nicer person. when i am around people who don’t really *know* the new nicer (i’m not a really nice person, i can be a down right asshole—i just don’t mask my dislike behind jokes as much) version of me and they still joke in the same manner it kind of throws me. I fight the urge to just tell them to say what they really feel or be quite and handle their shit. Because we all have a process and I don’t have to put myself in situations to get hurt, but I also can push or pull someone to a place they ain’t ready for.
